A couple of days ago I announced that we're heading back to Bulgaria in the next coming weeks and it's time for a revamp of the playlists.  While my podcasts haven't been that active I have been doing mixes offline which I might be posting up in the future.  Talking about podcasts it was good to see Simon aka One Phat Dj post another podcast entitled encore.  Lets hope that we can persuade him to do the best of 2008 :). Also Marc aka Dj Cruze has put up his Christmas edition podcast - sexy dancer. What other podcasts have I...

Well my 1st summer holiday in about 3 years is coming up in a couple of weeks. Me and a couple of friends from north and south are hitting Majorca as a last minute thing. Over the last week I have been previewing albums, listening to old podcasts and well I now have over 16gb of tunes, I expect this to grow still. Think I have been fortunate aswell as 2 of my favourite podcasters have launched new mixes, One Phat Dj aka Si Jobling's ColourFul Crescendo, and Dj Cruze aka Marc Littlemore Music Talking.  I have loads of tracks...

Just posted a new funky house podcast.  As I have stated over on my podcast sub site the format will be changing over the next couple of weeks.  This includes new voice overs, new wordpress theme and new iTunes album art. This month has been a busy month as on the podcast side of things we've had a guest mix from Drum and Bass band Twin Shinobi and a Summer 2008 Mini Mix. Also over at the DJ Cruze camp, Marc has just release a long awaited podcast episode Number 39 - Higher.  I personally think Marcs mixes are awesome :). Check...

First a guest mix by Twin Shinobi and now this Summer 2008 Mini Mix. If you would like to hear a track in the mix please get in touch. My usual podcast will be released next week. First guest mix. This mix is different from the normal house genre and dives into Drum and Bass. The mix is from a friends band called Twin Shinobi. You can find more on Twin Shinobi on myspace. My usual funky house mix will be posted up at the end of the week :) If you want to give feedback on this guest mix please comment on the podcast post or on Twin Shinobi's myspace page.

If anyone hasn't heard of Kid Beyond then you're certainly missing out on a talented beat boxer.  Below is a video from youtube of him showing how he works his magic.    I received an email today with details to be confirmed outlining attendance at the International Beatbox Convention in London, Apr 18 - 20. I would love to see Kid Beyond live but I don't think I'll be able to get down to London :( For anyone in the area I would recommend seeing him live as his Album "Amplivate" is class. Yes it's finally done.  New Journey is alittle late but better late than never.  Some really funky tunes in this mix. I did enjoy doing it, but as my podcast post mentions I think the jingles are needing a little updated.  Si Philp - Podcast Number 5 - New Journey Subscribe to my podcast RSS

Today while going through some old bookmarks I came across the website of DJ Ama (pronounced ah-mah).  DJ Ama has been dj'ing since Jan '07 and her sets are not only enjoyable but she's not afraid to experiment alittle with an effect here and there. Currently there are 3 full sets on her website and several short mixes on youtube. Dj Ama started with only one table which I didn't thoroughly understand until I saw her house/electro quick mix which goes into a little more detail in how she use to do it. Since that mix, which was posted way...

A while back you may remember that I posted an item Biggest iPod to date.  After posting the problem I was experiencing in the forums over at apple it would appear that my machine was confusing my iPod with a network drive.  After reading the article it all fell into place however what I was more confused about was where my iPod was getting its name from.  It's still not known but I am glad to have control over my iPod again. This leads me on to the following articles that were posted a couple of days ago over at lifehacker. ...

Happy Halloween Well it's that time of year again when the ghosts and ghouls come out and we realise that Christmas is fast approaching. Halloween is celebrated in many ways which vary from "dooking for apples", trick-or-treating, having a fancy dress party, visiting "haunted houses" or watching horror films. However you're celebrating Halloween 2007 make sure you have a good one. As the title says it's a triple trick or treat.  First treat is the release of my 3rd podcast, freckishly funky.  Second treat is another outstanding podast from OnePhatDj - Trick Or Treat Last but not least, if you've not subscribed to Dj Cruzes...

Podcast(Wikipedia) A podcast is a digital media file, or a series of such files, that is distributed over the Internet using syndication feeds for playback on portable media players and personal computers. A podcast is a specific type of webcast which, like 'radio', can mean either the content itself or the method by which it is syndicated; the latter is also termed podcasting. There are thousands of podcasts out there.  We all have our favourites, most coming from recommendations.
